Aerogolf’s Windsock for the Golf

While watching the U.S Open at Congressional a short commercial popped up on the screen introducing one of golf’s newest innovations: Aerogolf’s Aerocaddie.  Designed for those people tired of throwing blades of grass into the air or looking at the flag pin or tree tops to determine the wind’s direction, Aerogolf has created a miniaturized Windsock for your golf cart.  Simply strap the sock to the top of your cart and bam(!)…you have instant wind direction readings.

Honestly, I think most people can live without this golf accessory (yours truly included).  That said, I’m sure there are more than a few out there people out there which will find this item valuable for improving their golf game.  And for a product that looks to be retailing for around $19.99 I wish I had reinvented the windsock for golf and was cashing in.

Here’s the company’s commercial spot:

Ben Crane’s Golf Boys Video

PGA Tour professional Ben Crane takes his brand of golf humor to the next level with his latest video “Golf Boys.” Employing the boy band style of Rickie Fowler, the caveman qualities of Hunter Mahan, and the OshKosh B’gosh hickness of Bubba Watson, Crane delivers coordinated ridiculousness.  Though lacking complexity in lyrics, the video offers up plenty of humor that is unusually ”above Par” for PGA professionals.  Check it out:

Know the Local Rules

When traveling around the country, it’s always important to know the local rules at the golf course you’re playing.  Thankfully, at Burns Park in North Little Rock, Arkansas they have their local rules posted in the parking lot.

Dorf on Golf

Once upon a time before the internet and DVD’s people purchased comedy shows on video tapes (what a concept).  During that long last age, comedian Tim Conway came up with Dorf on Golf, a Swedish “dwarf” who highlights the finer aspects about the game of golf.  Although hard to sit through an hour or so of Dorf, watching a few segments is always worth a laugh.  For your enjoyment here are two clips from Dorf on Golf.
